It is designed to measure the length of curved line segments on topographic plans, maps, graphic documents. The measurement error of the KU-A mechanical curvimeter does not exceed 0.25 cm over a measurement length of 50 cm. The KU-A mechanical curvimeter has two scales: metric - with measurement limits from 0 to 100 cm. The division value of the metric scale corresponds to 1 cm; inch - with measurement limits from 0 to 39.4 inches. The division value of the inch scale corresponds to 0.05 inches. Instructions for using the KU-A mechanical curvimeter: Measurements are taken by rolling the curvimeter idler wheel along the measured lines, precisely following all the curves of the contour of these lines; Before measuring, it is recommended to set the curvimeter arrow to the beginning of the scale by rotating the idler wheel in the direction of measurement; The device has an indicator for setting the curvimeter to the starting point of the measured segment; During operation, the pressing force should be moderate, and the curvimeter should not be overloaded.
